360°kids is a vitally important community agency serving all of York Region. The Community Giving Associate will be responsible for overseeing all online and community philanthropy activities (including signature, 3rd party events, peer-to-peer, and lotteries) to generate revenue for organizational programs based on the annual budget through the process of acquiring gifts through various stages of development including research, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Development Team to set and achieve revenue and engagement goals and objectives.
- Responsible for achieving revenue targets for individual, community philanthropy and events in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborates together with the Development team in developing and implementing 360°kids core fundraising initiatives.
- Assesses the evolving nature of 360°kids fundraising initiatives, the community it services and strategies for long-term growth.
- Researches and cultivates new sources of funding for 360°kids through community groups and individuals to meet fundraising targets.
- Sources, develops, and cultivates community partnerships to obtain new donors, including actively participating on special event committees and giving presentations to donor groups.
- Responsible for creating meaningful stewardship opportunities to engage donors of all levels through channels such as email, telephone, digital, and direct mail outreach.
- Ensure proper receipting and thank you acknowledgement procedures are adhered to and completed in a timely manner.
- Lead planning and execution of all 360°kids’ signature and community events:
- Implementation of all fundraising events (online and in-person)
- Acting as liaison representative at community events.
- Securing sponsors where needed for events in conjunction with team.
- Securing Gift-in-kind contributions
- Online Charitable Gaming
- Lead execution of online lotteries for organization.
- Ensuring backend coordination of software platform configurations
- Third Party Events/Community Events:
- Research and investigate possible options of support for 360°kids and 360°kids’ representation where needed.
Education & Skills Required:
- Post-secondary education in Fundraising or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Three years of direct fundraising experience in a non-profit environment.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification an asset.
- Current vulnerable sector screening (criminal background check).
- Car and valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and $2M liability insurance.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to develop, articulate and promote a vision for the agency.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including influencing, consensus/team building, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating annual fund programs including direct mail, event management, major gifts, donor recognition and stewardship.
- Relationship building skills to support volunteers, donors, employees, and peers within the industry.
- Excellent communication, facilitation skills and interpersonal skills including superior presentation and public speaking skills.
- Strong personal ethics, integrity, reliable, time management and organization skills
- Ability to work as a team member in a dynamic, complex fast-paced environment and organize time and workload effectively with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Speaking and writing French is an asset.
